Icing cakes

Trudes headed off to the races looking very flash today andmy kids got to have some playmates hooray- its always quieter with extra kids ( yes I know that sounds completely bizarre)

We iced the muffins- mmm butter muffins with rosewater icing and extra sprinkles! Very much enjoyed both decorating and eating! The girls muffins were very artistic, love heart sprinkles in love hearts, with silver cachous decorating the edges

The Movies

I had a wonderful day yesterday, thanks so much TRUDES! We had a girly morning- went and saw a chick flick- Evening- was good, a little slow though. Then off for coffee and poffertjes at the Lukabean.

Last night I rejined the gym- a new one this time, its another awesome one. I did a Pilates class last night- great wat to ease back into it. Tomorrow I have my fitness assessment, and they draw a programme up free of charge ( was something I had to pay for last time). Im glad this is something else just for me, now Im in the size 10 lets get toned. The gym also has a detox box- like a sauna. Cant wait to use that!

Ramblings

I am having a not so great time at the moment, trying to define who I am I think. It hit me on the weekend that my baby goes to school in 6 months....time has flown so quickly. I know its a good thing she is going, and she so needs it, but what about me? What am I going to do? I didnt get upset when my first two went to school, I never thought I would be one of those mums who stands bawling at the gate- I really dont want to be either, but I dont want to feel like noone needs me anymore. And this is it, its the last time I will have one of my kids around me- I have 6 months left with her and then its basically up to someone else isnt it. Ive learnt once they get to school thats it- your opinion matters but your not the most important thing in their universe any more!
Everyone is telling me look on the positive side- I can fly more-yay- scrap more, coffee more, clean the house without a helper.....I think I will just miss the noise....maybe

Cleaning

Thats what my life revolves around- I am cleaning have done the girls bedrooms so far- I remember now the worst thing about polished floorboards- its the dust bunnies! I vacumned and mopped a few days ago but the dust bunnies are once again HUGE- they keep multiplying- I will blame the cats and the wind lol.

The older two kids are both at school today hooray! Kalyb tried to tell me he was sick again, till I got it out of him that if his homework isnt handed in today he stays in at lunch- he didn't get his homework sheet last week as he was ill, but he didn't ask for it when he went back to school either- oh well he has to learn to accept responsibility.

Tarni is a weather watcher at school- she was so excited to be able to say that she had been through cyclones last year. She loves her new school, I am so pleased.

Rick has been doing up his ute- he has a ummmm oh no me bad- I think its a HQ- he did tell me.....so will put a pic. He has pulled panels off and is stripping the paint back now, its looking umm really good :D NO seriously it is, he is enjoying it, and that means I et to scrap without feeling guilty!

Ok enough from me for now, Im trying to update this every day- or every few at least, and take lots of photos :D More photos = more scrapping lol

The House

Well I have been promising house pics since we moved in. Now this isnt all, am taking them as the light is best in the rooms. The house has lots of trees so lot of shade, which means its very cool, not so good in winter but will be wonderful in summer. It has a huge back deck, perfect for coffee!

I DID IT

Yay for me.....Im back in a size 10.....even in my jeans that I had before I had Kalyb...( ok I was pregnant when I got them lol)

You know what this means now dont you....I said I would get my belly re pierced.....

We went to Soroptomist Park today for a play...enjoy the pics. Its been a great few weeks having mum up here, she goes home on tuesday, we will miss her.

Paluma

We went for a nice drive up to Paluma today, as its Townsville Show Day- and public holiday yay!!

Went to the pottery place which had some lovely things, and the playground. Stopped in at Hells Kitchen for some coffee and icecream for the kids, and hand fed the birds! Then a little walk down to the lookout, and home again

Yesterday was fairly quiet, went to Cotters Markets, and then a birthday party. Think I need a quiet night lol

Cairns

On Saturday we went to Cairns, RIck is up there on a course at the moment, so spent the afternoon with him. Here are some pics of the kids on the Esplanade and some ta Muddys playground too. Oh yes and a plane for good measure hehe

Mount Stuart

Ok first one. ON Friday we went up to Mt Stuart, which is on the edge of town. Nice drive up and great views. We did the walking trail this time too. Hope you like the pics.
